Product Features

Inspired by the Lone Peak, one of the rockiest, toughest mountains on the Wasatch Range, The Lone Peak™ was designed to conquer the Wasatch 100. While the foot-shaped design allows athletes to stay relaxed and comfortable for hours, this do-everything mountain shoe promotes happy feet, increases ankle stabilization and improves form with the Zero Drop™ platform. The Lone Peak™ features an innovative, sandwiched StoneGuard™ system that deflects rocks into the midsole for a smoother, more stable ride. Stand above the rest with the ultimate trail running shoe.

A trail shoe for every trail and condition.

By Jacques (Oconomowoc Wi.) on Nov 19, 2011
After two 20 mile runs the Lone Peak is becoming my go to shoe. I needed to go down a half size from the Instinct, but having done that, the comfort level is extremely high. This shoe allows me to run with natural form but gives all the protection I need for the gnarliest trail. With a little more p... (Read more)

 I love these shoes!

By Captain Marvel (Portland, OR) on Nov 19, 2011
Somehow I got the idea that they were waterproof, so that was my only disappointment. Otherwise, I love these shoes! After wearing FiveFingers for two years, almost non-stop, I was shocked by the comfortable ride, but not by the Zero Drop, which I consider "the only way to fly." I bought them to sta... (Read more)

 Happy Feet Again

By Sandy (Seattle, WA) on Nov 19, 2011
This shoe puts it altogether, just as I had hoped. Zero drop plus the comfort of a real midsole. I have tried everything to overcome stiff and sore feet. I have used every type of insole, only to develop more discomfort. With these shoes I find I can walk for hours, run on trails and I remain comfo... (Read more)

 Converted me

By none (NC) on Nov 19, 2011
Though I have been running with Karhu shoes for 3-4 years so this concept is not so new for me, I really like this shoe and will continue buying them.

 Incredible shoes

By treepatter (NYC) on Nov 21, 2011
I've been waiting for the Lone Peaks since they were first supposed to be available back in early June. Having finally got them, i am not disappointed. I use mine for hiking over mountainous terrain, and they handle everything with ease. The upper is sturdy without being too restrictive, the soles ... (Read more)

 Great Technical Trail Shoe

By GuyWithThisShoe (Seattle, WA) on Nov 21, 2011
I recently ran the Grand Ridge Trail Half marathon in the Lone Peak and was very happy with them. I love the zero drop and this shoe seems to be very durable. I've only run around 30 miles in these shoes but some of it was on the road as well as trail and still the tread looks brand new. I do see ... (Read more)

 Great Design!

By RunningCrazy (Syracuse, Utah) on Dec 8, 2011
I've now put some 250+ miles on my new Lone Peaks and honestly must say they have moved to the top of my list as the go to shoes on the trails. I've run in these in the desert, the mountains, snow, mud and have no complaint whatsoever. Don't think of this as a minimalist shoe, it is NOT, and I high... (Read more)

 Best shoes I have owned

By Wolfgangva (Lynchburg, VA) on Dec 15, 2011
I have been running in Vibrams Five Fingers for the past 3 years. I was getting annoyed with kicking rocks, landing oddly and having a rock hit my arch, etc... Anyway these shoes have been awesome. These are honestly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and I really enjoy running in them... (Read more)

Great traction and secure low profile

By Tanner (Seattle, WA) on Dec 28, 2011
Just did a quick 6 miles up and down a muddy mountain in Bellingham, WA...these things really took to the mud and rocks and protected my feet as I bombed down slopes I would otherwise take it easy on. Going up the mountain, this minimalist runner was a little bothered by the extra weight (used to... (Read more)
